Sponsored by the Mississippi Democratic Club, the candidates were former Jackson Mayor Harvey Johnson Jr., Tax Collector Eddie Fair, Brenda Scott, former Jackson Police Chief Robert Johnson and state Sen. John Horhn. According to the story, voters were most interested in hearing about the candidates plans to address education, crime and infrastructure issues.
