Oysters harvested off a section of Mississippi's Gulf Coast are being blamed for a norovirus found in patrons of a Tennessee restaurant, reports The Washington Post.
As a result, the Virginia Department of Health issued a recall of the oysters this past weekend as a precautionary step.
Officials from Tennessee and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration connected oysters responsible for the outbreak to waters in the Pass Christian area, harvested Feb. 24.
