After Florida State's win over Auburn, the college football season and the BCS both came to a final conclusion. The Seminoles and the Tigers put on a show in the season's final game.
Even with Auburn's loss, the SEC finished with the best bowl record at 7-3 of the automatic qualifying conferences. The only losses were Alabama and Auburn (both in BCS games) and Georgia on New Year's Day.
The ACC finished with 5-6 bowl record but can hang its hat on the fact it won the national championship and defeated the SEC, ending its title run at seven straight games.
