Florida State University returns to the top spot after Mississippi State University's loss to the University of Alabama. The Seminoles escaped with another win but remain undefeated. That counts for something.
The Crimson Tide moves up into the second spot with the Oregon Ducks in third. Two Big 12 teams in TCU and Baylor are fourth and fifth, respectively. MSU and Ohio State University round out the one-loss teams with any playoff hopes. Ole Miss and Michigan State University are the highest ranked two-loss teams.
It will be total chaos for the College Football Playoff committee if teams keep losing. Picking out the best two-loss teams will be hard to figure out.
