This is the first week of the season that a team has dropped out of the top 25 poll. It wasn't just one team falling out of the poll, though; it was three—Missouri, Clemson and Florida.
Mississippi State has the best, in my mind, road win in the country. Not many teams go to LSU and come out with a win, much less nearly blow the Tigers off the field before their comeback after MSU took its foot off the gas.
A huge double showdown is looming for this state if Ole Miss takes care of business against Memphis this week. Next week, both Texas A&M and Alabama will travel to Mississippi and put their lofty ranking on the line against the Rebels and Bulldogs.
