JACKSON Fresh off a three-day weekend, Jackson City Council members have a full day of meetings and a public hearing to discuss issues across the board. Right after lunch, the Budget Committee meeting will begin with a discussion on banking and community reinvestment practices, as well as a budget update. At 3 p.m., the Planning Committee will meet to discuss an ordinance to rename Flag Chapel Road to President Barack Obama Drive; an order to develop the Neighbors First Lot Program; and regulations on the operations of drones in city limits. Tonight, the council will host a public hearing to go over the standards of rental housing units within the City of Jackson, as well as increasing transparency with subcontractors.
