Gov. Bryant, co-chair of Personhood Mississippi, just issued this statement on the abortion-clinic lawsuit above, verbatim:
*jackson—Gov. Phil Bryant issues the following statement regarding House Bill 1390: “Mississippi stands ready to vigorously defend House Bill 1390, which requires abortion providers to be certified OB/GYN physicians and have admitting privileges at a local hospital. This basic requirement goes to both the heart of women’s health care and protecting the lives of unborn children.”*
BTW, I just added the PDF of Henderson's pardon file above (that, WAPT, I spent half a day in the AG's office reading in order that you could come along weeks later and crib my story without credit. Ahem). A lot of our PDFs on old site aren't working so we're reposting relevant ones to this site. We're also getting the other links (such as the ones in this story) working again; they work automatically as the stories are imported. Sorry for the delay, but this site is going to be worth it!
Meantime, bookmark this link. It will be a master archive of all documents as they go up! (Can you tell I love the document tool!?)
Great post! You can blog about whatever you want (within reason, of course)! Love this post, Dylan. Talk to be about doing some game reviews when you're in next.
Gill1970, I'll allow Joe to respond to specific points himself if he'd like, but I will point out that was an opinion column and, as such, Joe did not need to get quotes from those public officials, whose actions are on the record. Joe is a wonderful journalist and is, in fact, working on a related cover story for us now, so keep an eye out!
Here's the actual story about Robert Henderson and Frank Bluntson. BTW, the older stories are still uploading into new site server, so those links at the bottom of the above story should be working within a day.
