The answer would, of course, be "d." In order to be the best restaurant in Jackson, you must get it all right. You can't just rely on your food to make up for service and atmosphere.

July Brings New Medical Developments to Jackson

UMMC was one of four medical centers in Mississippi to be recognized as "Most Wired" in the study. Others included St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson and North Mississippi Health Services in Tupelo.

"Sometimes, I think it's the only thing I know how to do. I know it's the only thing that I want to do." I could hear myself saying these words, spilling my soul, to my friend Michael Norris, aka Verbal, one of the few white spoken-word, hip/hop artist in the city. He was telling me to go for it. Just write. He asked me if I had ever read any of my work before. When I responded that I had not, he invited me to a place that he was sure would help with my anxiety: Seven All Arts Cafe. I had heard of it before. A friend had invited me to go with her for reggae one night, but when we got to the location, 110 Wesley Street, we found padlocked doors.

City Tech Wiring Overlooked

City Council members want to know why the city waited so long to notice that developer Retro Metro wasn't providing computer and telephone wiring at the city's new Metrocenter Mall offices. The cost of a change order to make it happen now is $250,000, with developer Retro Metro finishing the work in the old Belk store. The project already exceeds $2.5 million.

‘It’s Positivity’: Refill Café Preps Young Adults for Workforce

Refill Cafe will soon serve lunch weekly to the surrounding Jackson community. The restaurant will also act as a job training site for members enrolled in the program.

Wearing white, paint-splattered pants and a French beret and holding a painting palette, 5-year-old Kristen Ley decided she wanted to be an artist. Her mom had dressed her up as one for career day. "I don't ever remember a time when I wasn't doing art," Ley says.

"Apples and Synthesizers," Solvent

Described by The Wire [UK] magazine as "gleefully blurring the lines between modern techno and vintage techno-pop," Solvent is at the forefront of the electronica genre. Apples and Synthesizers is certainly testament to Solvent's old meets new electro-pop approach, as hints of electroclash, IDM and Kraftwerkian synth lines permeate into an infectuously fresh mix. Listen up for this one!
