@tyler.cleveland ) "I think she's right. She isn't blaming kids for our problems, she was making a point that we need to target youth who show leadership skills and get them innvolved in the community early. I think we can all agree that's a good idea."
I must ask if English is a second language for you or Mrs. Quinn? I am a reader of this site, not a mind reader. What we can "all agree" on is that she was quoted in this article as saying, "Right now the kids with leadership skills are the ones leading our kids down paths we don't want them to go down."
This community is looking for leaders with integrity and truth: Not just short sound bites and information based on untruths. Voters are smarter than you think!
@ thabian "99% of this "plan" is already being done by Mayor Johnson..........."
I, after listening to so many of the carbon copy "new ideas" from Lee, my thoughts are the same. It's as if Lee and Johnson were in the same class room taking a sujective test. Lee is accused of copying because All of the answers were the same as Johnson's. The only thing not copied was Mayor Johnson's name.
These folks need to do their work during the regular session. Calling a special session is so costly to tax payers. This kind of behavior would not be tolerated on any other job.
WOW! The only thing that I can say is that I wish Judge Graves could be a Supreme Justice. If I had a working magic wand, I would ZAP Clarence Thomas out and put Judge Graves in. LOL!
When will these MS Republican (Mostly Males) get out of the lives of women's health issues? They don't want Planned Parenthood; refuse to continue help to poor families when the baby is born; yet, they want to make decisions that only a woman and her physician should be in control of. Just saying.
It is so special that Detective Eric Smith was cared about by so many people to include members of the police force, family and friends. I spoke to a JPD officer last night who said, "He was loved and respected by all of us." What a testament!
It is my sencere hope that Det. Smith's death will be an eye-opener for those who do not know the dangers of this job. I also pray for healing and offer my sencere condolesces to all lives effected by this tragedy, especially his wife, children and other family members.

@ Regina Quinn's coment:
"Right now the kids with leadership skills are the ones leading our kids down paths we don't want them to go down".
This is the most irresponsible comment I have heard from any of the mayoral candidates to date.
