U.S. Attorney Dunn Lampton in Accident

The JFP's prayers go out to the U.S. attorney.

The Associated Press is reporting that U.S. Attorney Dunn Lampton was in a Jeep accident on a remote part of his property in Pike County. He is in a Jackson hospital. No information on his condition has been released.

As I listened to Wendy Eddleman at Flashbacks Espresso Café in Byram, I couldn't help thinking of those serene beauties often seen in Renaissance paintings. Not only is the 29-year-old Jackson native outwardly lovely, but an evident inner strength and capability makes her glow.

I've noticed lately that more and more rosé wines are turning up in our market. Around here, most people would see a rosé and write it off immediately as one of those syrupy, sweet blush wines like white zinfandel. Rosés, in fact, are actually more on the dry side. Time to crush the stigma.

This is a HUGE deal, as they only accept 10 applicants a year. We're so proud of Ayana; first she won the AAN diversity grant, and now this. Tennis Center South Improvements. Mayor Johnson showcased ongoing improvements to Tennis Center South Wednesday. This center located off of McDowell Road is a very popular facility and it attracts tennis enthusiasts from Jackson and also surrounding communities for both league and leisure play. We have upgraded four of the courts at the 14-court facility by providing new fencing, new lighting, resurfacing the courts and re-striping them. Some upgrades in landscaping were also part of this project.

Mississippi State Hospital Service Chief for Female Receiving Jon Corey Jackson's hero when growing up was his family medicine doctor, Dr. Henry Lewis, who still practices in Jackson's hometown of McComb, Miss. The doctor's work inspired Jackson to pursue the field.
